Using creativity and imagination, pupils design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values.  Pupils learn how to take risks, becoming resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable citizens

KS3 Graphics

This SOW has been designed to encourage students to be able to design and make products with creativity and originality, using a range of materials and techniques. Packaging, labelling and instructions are encouraged as part of the complete design proposal and advertising, points of sale, etc used to supplement the making experience and help create products which can be evaluated for their commercial viability.

This qualification is intended for learners interested in using graphics based materials in a practical and imaginative way, in the context of marketing and promotion. Learners will develop an understanding of commercial and industrial processes and an awareness of careers within the industry. It will particularly appeal to learners who are looking for a course that is practical in nature.
